An Outstretched Arm

About 20 times God declares in His Word that He has saved and will continue to save with an “outstretched arm” ...

Ever ponder that? What it means to us ... to you?

In a world of striving and earning, we so often feel as if we need to “reach out, stretch, and strain” to obtain God in our life ...

Yet He declares a quite different picture ... we kneel, we submit, we lay down ... and His mighty Hand and outstretched Arm come “to us” ...

He saves ... not us ...

Thank you Lord for not being a God on a mountaintop waiting for us to try to get to the top, chasing different paths, striving in vain ...

... but instead being a God who came down from the mountain ... to us.

... with an “outstretched arm”
